At the heart of Educare Group’s commitment to progress lies Focus Research & Development Pvt. Ltd., a pioneering R&D company incubated at the Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Park (STEP), IIT Kharagpur.
The organisation has developed strong capabilities in computer networking and library automation, including completing a multi-crore networking project for Tripura University.
Focus R&D conducts specialised training on scientific and engineering software for industry professionals, faculty, and students, and provides customised IT-enabled solutions to complex technical problems. It recently trained TCS engineers in MATLAB.
The organisation is now expanding into Tele-Radiology, leveraging modern high-speed communication networks to enable real-time transmission of medical imaging data—MRI, CT, USG, X-Ray, and cardiographs—for remote expert diagnosis, supporting the growing global trend in imaging outsourcing.
A key achievement is the co-development of an ultra-low-cost diagnostic device capable of performing multiple critical blood tests from a single finger-prick. Integrating microscale fluid mechanics with cell biophysics, this innovation has the potential to revolutionise affordable diagnostic healthcare across India.
